Went in today for the first time. After standing around for a few minutes we finally asked the staff at the counter where to go to see the dogs. She was friendly, as well as many of the other staff members we talked to. The dogs look cared for, although I did not like the facilities. I know it would be difficult to simply move buildings, but the place is in really rough shape. One area where the dogs are kept is covered in water. I liked the space outside where you could take the dogs for some quiet time. If anyone is looking for a dog, please consider stopping here first. I know the building doesn't look like much, but they are really overcrowded with dogs and cats right now! I may return to adopt in the future.
We went in to adopt a kitten and wasn't sure exactly how it worked other then it being $25. The lady at the front desk was very rude. I told her we wanted to adopt a kitten and she asked if we knew which pet we wanted, which we didn't, so just told us some directions and for us to go back and look. No other explanation, no would you like someone to help you. They weren't even helping anyone else at that moment. So we head into the maze with our hazy directions. But the young girl who was a volunteer was very helpful. She showed us some kittens and got us some information on the kitten we wanted that didn't have a paper talking about it because it was so new. That front desk woman nearly made me walk out and miss the sweet little kitten.
Wonderful staff!! My dog was lost and ended up here. I was amazed at the care and attention he was given. We are thrilled to have been reunited with our beloved dog of 14 years. Kudos to all the volunteers and staff!! So grateful for your kindness!
We adopted mister binx..(pax) he has came into our family and took over..he's one happy kitty
Adopted my lovely Ferguson. He is the third cat I've gotten from the humane society and I'll gladly keep going back there.
