Basecamp is warm and welcoming, no pretense. The menu is small, but not lacking- It was actually nice not to be overwhelmed with choices. I got the pork sliders and was very impressed! My brother did the BYOB and couldn't stop talking about it. Sweet potato fries are particularly good! Service was timely and attentive and the outside patio had a great relaxed atmosphere. Overall, it's just really great food paired perfectly with a really great dining experience. Will definitely be back!
Ate here for the first time recently. Really enjoyed the veggie sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries, which was a great bang for your buck for Chattanooga, especially Northshore. Our server was very nice and attentive. Super cozy atmosphere, love the naturey artwork. This might be my new favorite place!
The service was fast and friendly. Our waitress was great. I got Korean BBQ wings and they were delicious, but most of them were charred too black on the grill. Left a bitter aftertaste. The Mac and cheese is a good sized portion, but you need to add stuff to it, which drives up the price. The beer selection is large, but nothing you haven't already heard of or tried elsewhere.
My husband loved his meal (and beer). "Those were the best sweet potato fries ever"- Husband.
Basecamp has a small menu, but every item is a winner. I especially recommend the Mac & Cheese (with Grilled Chicken) and the build-your-own s'mores, complete with toasted marshmallows served in a tiny cast iron skillet. Whoever is working the fryer is a master of their craft; everything is tasty without being greasy. The beer selection won't blow you away - there are usually only about 6 on tap and a couple dozen in cans, but there's more than enough quality and variety to keep you occupied. Overall the food and service here are several notches in quality above what you'd expect from such an unpretentious atmosphere.
I ordered the tacos with pork. Everything layered so perfectly. Delish!
We timed it perfectly. Heaters on and on the spot service.... Because it had gotten slammed soon after we arrived. The fantastic and friendly service never declined through our visit... They absolutely made our day!

We had a long morning with our old dog up at Rock City and headed downtown looking for a dog friendly eatery. We tracked down the Brewhaus but it was too chilly to sit outside there. The owner very kindly suggested "Basecamp" a few doors down, as they had heaters on the outside deck.
