Might not be the most amazing place, but I love it. Food is pretty decent. They have Barq's root beer in glass bottles. Staff are nice and place is clean. Plus, bathrooms look like they would be in an action movie where someone busts the wall down. I don't know why, but they do. :)
I was visiting Chattanooga on a college tour with my son. I looked for Pizzerias in this area. Gondolier was fresh and tasty. They have a huge menu selection reasonably priced. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely come again!
I ordered the lasagna. First off they don't put meat in the layers its in the sauce. The sauce had a sweet taste like sugar was added. I only ate the noodle/cheese part since the meat was in the sauce and ended up getting sick (vomiting) a little later that evening. My husband had the philly steak sub and I tried a bite, the meat was dry. Unfortunately this place in my opinion is not worth the money.
Really nice staff. BOGO pizzas. Yummy pizza. I was very impressed. Fun the outside it doesn't look like much though.
I must say my husband and me drove from Chicago to Florida and happened to spend the night at Chattanooga Tn. We went to Gondolier Pizza and were surprised to see the Pizza quality. It was just as we were in Rome and experienced the same Pizza there a year ago! We expressed our happiness with the guy who served us. He was happy. Next month we are planning a similar drive and will definitely stop by Gondolier Pizza. We rave about the pizzas to all our friends.
