The worst experience. Steak or rice had no flavor... GO TO 153 ICHIBAN for the BEST
Their food has good flavor, and their meats and seafood are always of good quality. There is some variation between chefs but overall their consistency is well controlled.
Good quality service and food only if the restaurant is close to empty. Ordering standards differ every time we visit and this inconsistency would have been tolerated if our service were anywhere near "good". During our last visit, sushi side, each person received their meal separately with at least a initial 30 minute wait with a 15 minute wait for each other persons meal, our server dropped a plate a sushi onto the table with a laughed "oops" before walking away and basic table maintenance wasn't happening. We aren't a demanding group and have been eating here for awhile with similar experiences but after this last visit, are no longer patrons of Ichiban. There's a lot of potential here but a major internal change in training/service needs to happen.
Terrible customer service. We've been eating here at least once a week for the past year or so. the food is good but honestly I'm done with the poor service. Most recent.. my wife had been under the weather and only wanted some soup. Just the broth with vegetables. they refused to sell it unless she purchased an entire meal. like I said she had been under the weather and did not want a meal. The rude hostess hung up on her several times and refused to allow her to speak to the owner. We will not be coming back and I would advise anyone else from going there as well.
Wonderful place! The eel is the best I've ever had! The atmosphere is fantastic! And my drink never got less than half full before they were refilling it!
