I've been here probably a dozen times since I've moved to Chattanooga. The word to describe this place is consistency. Always have had a great experience, good prices, good food and good times. No real complaints about the restaurant, but its nothing stellar either. The salads and burgers are the highlights of the menu.
Great atmosphere and a chill place. Outside patio is great, as long as the weather works. Pets allowed and they will even bring out a water bowl.
Get the fish tacos and tater tots. You'll love it.
I will always remember UJ as a place of tears and destruction. Tears because the first time i ate there coincidentally happened to be the day I was dumped by my boyfriend. Destruction because I received a generous portion of food poisoning after consuming one of their burgers. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavor of the burger. The one star is solely for the flavor of the burger, nothing more. Well cooked and topped wonderfully with the perfect amount of mushrooms. The aftermath of the meal, as I regretfully report, was anything but 5 stars. As my (now ex) boyfriend uttered the dreaded words, "we need to talk", I experienced a violent lurch within my stomach... thinking it was merely the look his face and the breakup I knew would follow, I ignored it and suppressed the increasing storm growing within my abdomen. I will spare you the emotional and revolting details, but I will say that the next four hours of listening to why I was being dumped was interrupted by my need to vomit violently. Needless to say, the experience left a bad taste in my mouth (metaphorically and literally), and I have not eaten there since.
Sarah behind the bar was so attentive and sweet! Dillon and Alison on the patio brought my dog out water as soon as I got there and recommended spectacular food options! Great place with inside and outside seating!
Walk in to this place and it seemed nice and chill. I had a seat near the end of the bar where there was no one sitting. I ended up sitting and trying to find out if anyone actually worked here. There were a few groups of people watching the game but nothing busy or loud. Finally after 10 minutes a bartender appeared and cashed out a guest. She then looked over the bar, asked the person two chairs down if they wanted another round. She look at me and walked off. Now it was obvious I was a new guest. Why would you delibertly ignore guest and not be aware of your bar when you are dependent upon tips for a living. I just walked out.
