I have used RIVER services for many years. Some of the visits have been traumatic, some have been heartbreaking and some not so urgent. I cannot thank RIVER enough for their care for my pet family. For every visit, the people who have helped me and my family have been gracious, kind, considerate, thoughtful, patient and very professional. The information received both for diagnosis and for patient care has been clear and most times in printed form. I would recommend this group to anyone. Many thanks, Linda Rogers
We brought our Molly to RIVER because her hind legs wouldn't work. Her doctor referred us there for physical therapy. The therapist, Cassie, was so good with Molly. She put her in the water to swim and walk on the underwater treadmill. This was a tremendous help for Molly. Then Molly got a kidney infection and they kept her for a few nights, then sent us home with medication. That was a huge setback for Molly. We tried physical therapy again several times after the kidney infection was cured. Cassie she loaned us a doggie walker and a yoga mat for traction to try and help her walk again. She really went beyond what one would expect. Molly never regained the use of her hind legs but our experience with RIVER was very good. I will always remember Cassie and the great care she took of Molly.
There are a lot of feral cats around my workplace so a couple of years ago I started trapping the cats & getting them fixed. I rescued a litter of three & was determined to find loving homes for the sweet babies. I could tell that one of the kittens was fading and rushed it to River. They took me right in, checked out the kitten and gave me encouraging instructions on its needed care. Everyone, and I mean everyone, at River was so kind, patient and professional. Because of them, I was able to save the kitten & find it a fur-ever home! We are so lucky to have River (and their caring staff) in our city!
I have nothing to say but great things about VCA!! We have had 3 emergencies with our pet and they were excellent! I appreciated their care and concern for my pet but I also appreciated the care & concern they showed me & my family. I loved that I could call any time day or night and speak directly with my Rosco's tech or Vet. My dog was run over by a car and had a head injury. He ended up loosing one of his eyes. Rosco stayed in ICU for 4 days and we were able to take him home. He has recovered 100% and we are thankful for those who had a hand in that!
We have had to go to River three times in the last two weeks. Our cat had an emergency issue when our vet was not open so we went to River. They took good care of her and the procedure seemed successful. The doctor did everything she could with what we could afford. Unfortunately, the issue was not cut and dry and we ultimately, with much heartache, made the choice to put her to sleep. The staff was so caring and compassionate, they even sent a paw print home for each of my children. Dealing with the River staff, made the loss of our cat less stressful than it could have been and we are so grateful for the gentle care and treatment our little one received. Highly recommended.
