The coffee is pretty great, and the workers are (mostly) kind and attentive. It gets VERY busy during peak hours and you'll be waiting upwards of 30 minutes for your food or beverage, but if you've got time to kill, it's no problem. The wifi is great and there are large tables for doing group work. It's more on the side of industrial rather than cozy, but worth a visit if you're a local.
The coffee was smooth and full-flavored. The staff was efficient but not engaging. My acquaintance and I sat and talked for about 50 minutes. There is a little too much ambient noise, but otherwise it was fine.
I really enjoyed their brunch. I went with a large group and we were able to get through the long line rather quickly and received our food quickly as well. All five of us enjoyed our meals. The food I had was seasoned and had flavor. I had the multi-grain pancakes with scrambled eggs and red potatoes. They cleaned up the tables well and there provided service with a smile. The restaurant is beautiful and very picture ready. I look forward to eating there again and checking out other aspects of their menu.
This seemed like a tourist trap and against my better judgement I gave the place a try. Standard pub grub fare. I wouldn't bother reviewing except the prices were way, way too high for food that could be easily purchased and baked at 375 for 12-14 minutes. The beer selection was okay but was 70% IPA which is fine if you are a man trying to develop breasts and transition, or if you are a craft brewer with access to the late 90s. True there are many places like this popping up in the southern renaissance food scene but I only bother writing about this one because of the awful service and disgusting kitchen I happened to catch a glimpse of. Service was unacceptably slow, and asking for a water fill up was a chore. Getting a second beer was nearly impossible. I also witnessed a disgusting amount of filth that looks to be a perpetual problem in the kitchen. There are too many wonderful places in Chattanooga to waste time at this place. I only give one star because of the place's potential. Its a nice location and setup and the menu is solid.
Love the food here. Treated the kids to hot chocolate and got a delicious Mexican hot chocolate for myself. After we checked out the trains and ice rink, we had a delicious dinner. Cheesy scrambled eggs and PB&J for the kids and sesame crusted salmon with soba noodles and a roasted beet salad with goat cheese for myself. Truly was a fun date with the kids and well worth it.
