Hamilton Place store is overstaffed with associates trained to follow customers around the extremely small space and endlessly promote products, despite customer requests to simply browse. Once one finally allows customer a bit of space, another will immediately start to try to gain the sale. Within a 7-10 minute period, we were continually approached by at least 4-5 associates, who rudely refused to recognize requests to end sales pitches. Management encouraged this practice, as well as instructing an employee to 'cash-out' the only register a second time, while a customer was waiting to check out, in order to allow an associate to continue to promote products to this decided customer, attempting to increase the customer's purchase.
If you prefer to physically test products, there are a few other alternatives in downtown Chattanooga that offer far better service.
I can't even begin to tell you how much love I have for Teavana. They make some of my FAVORITE loose leaf teas. Yes, the sales people try to sell you things, but that's literally their job and I'm glad to see them do it.
The product is very nice, and bulk tea stores are rare in this area; however, this unprofessional shopping experience ruins the purpose of visiting the store. Since the good quality of the product is consistent, I would recommend using its mail-order service, not the physical store. If you visit the store, prepare to have a very stressful experience.

Overall, a great store for tea lovers- the selection is immense and most of the employees are happy to let you sample the brews around the store and advise you on which ones are best suited for you to purchase. However, ordering drinks from there is truly Russian Roulette- I don't think many of the employees are trained as to just how to make the teas they provide, and I've had some extremely over-sweetened and some without it at all, when I'd made my order clear. Also tend to confuse 'iced' and 'hot' somehow. Would recommend for shopping, not for ordering a drink.

They have really great tea selections but they don't actually make the tea to drink at this location. You buy the loose tea and take it home to make it yourself.
