It was not until my brother was moved to Kindred Hospital Chattanooga that he really started to turn the corner and start to get his life back. He arrived on a ventilator with a new trach and peg tube for nourishment. All the staff from nursing, respiratory, physical therapy and speech have been awesome! There are too many to name and afraid I would leave someone out. Everyone has shown so much compassion and patience and given so much encouragement to get him back on his feet, and hopefully on the way to rehab soon. On behalf of my brother and our family, thank you Kindred.
Everyone we dealt with at Kindred was kind, caring, knowledgeable, and informative. The rooms are kept very clean and everyone has a lot of privacy. There was always someone there to respond to our questions or my aunt's calls in a timely manner. The food here is also great. The payment of Aunt Rose's stay was handled very professionally and all her needs were taken care of. The nurses took the time to talk with her and the other people there and got to know them personally. Though there are many patients, everyone feels welcome and happy at Kindred. The providers there truly do want all of their patients to be happy. Everyone there was very accepting of all faiths and backgrounds which added to the comfort and welcome felt by all.
The clinical staff and physicians at Kindred Hospital provide gold standard care for every patient and family that trust them with their care. Kindred Hospital is truly an asset to the greater Chattanooga healthcare community!
Do not let them take your loved one there. They are cold unfeeling and very unprofessional. My brother was there for one night when they literally let him lay and smother to death. They did nothing to help him. I went to see him and right after I got there his oxygen level started dropping. All his alarms went off and nobody came. I went into the hallway and watched 3 people standing at the nurses station talking. No one paid any attention to the alarms. Only when I took a picture of them they started running up to me to say I wasn't allowed to take pictures in there. Then they went into his room and 2 nurses, I assume, started talking and just said very nonchalantly "I think he's dying right now" and the other one said"yeah, I stopped in about an hour ago and I didn't think it would be long". AND THEY DID NOTHING TO HELP HIM. How can this be right. I will never ever be able to get this out of my mind. It was a horrific experience. Please don't let them kill someone you love.
