This seems like a good place to walk, and if I were rating it simply for walking, it might deserve another star. But since there is playground equipment here, and we came with 2 toddlers for that reason, my review is based on that. The playground equipment is OK, but is not as well made, or as safe, or as well maintained, or as fun as some of the other public playgrounds around.
I can’t speak for the dog park, except it looks very fun and people seem to enjoy it— but the playground and walk ways are very great. The main path is a little uneven in places, but all and all a very good path for walking, biking, or skating. The ground is mostly level and well managed. The heritage house also hosts various events if you check the door. Pokémon GO scene is great.
My review is for the dog park. Great location. Plenty of room. Nice watering system for the dogs. The bad: too many people do not clean up after their pets, despite the fact that there are free disposal bins in several locations there. Too many times the owners are too busy staring at their phone screens to pay attention to their dog. Pet owners with aggressive dogs do nothing while their pet terrorizes the others. I'm talking about the ones who are there to establish dominance and attack other dogs, not the ones who may play a little rough from time to time. Most times it's pretty laid back and peaceful there. Grass is always mowed and park is otherwise clean.
Great safe place to walk, run and enjoy family time with the kids and pets! Wonderful pet areas!
Beautiful park! Great location as well! There are a bunch of restaurants nearby when you work up an appetite
