Definitely a spin off of Thai Smile, and the poor service followed them.
The waitress was pleasant and efficient.
Came in on a Sunday afternoon and the place was relatively empty, which was nice. We were seated right away and the host was pleasant (hit a small gong which was pretty cool).
The best Thai iced tea.
We had basil fried rice, pad sew beef, Thai fried rice, pad thai. Place is nice and comfy, friendly service, prompt order and size portion is worth the money
Well as others have stated the service is poor at best, friendly but slow. Last visit on a Sunday around 5:30, only 6 people in the place including me. 15 minutes to get a server to take a drink order. I can understand when a place is busy, but this one isn't. They always bring meals out randomly and never for the entire table at one time. It's really sad because the food is actually pretty good.
My family and I were visiting ruby falls this weekend. On our way home, we stopped by Alex Thai Food & Sushi. The menu is extensive and has a lot of options. This was our first time eating Thai food, and everyone enjoyed their order. My favorite was the coconut soup with shrimp. The service was great and the food was amazing.
For a place to charge as much as they do, you'd expect much better food and service. There were maybe four other tables but it took over 45 minutes to get our food consisting of two bowls of flavorless oddly chewy ramen, one platter with a handful of sad iceberg lettuce and some interesting shredded stuff (supposedly papaya?), and one noodle dish that my friend said was actually good. So that one dish earned two stars. The other subpar food, slow service, and cheap ambience will keep me from ever coming back.
The food was delicious, fresh and portions enough for two. Great experience all around.
