We got there ahead of the Sunday post-church crowd. A good thing, since the line was forming as we left.
Emailed them directly about experience and received an email form Samantha. She offered a gift certificate for a lunch. Nice gesture, but over 5 weeks later......nothing! Just shows how they really regard their customers. Sad, sad.
They evidently have their favorites. Been here a couple times before, service was good. This time sat for quite a while and others around me just getting seated were being serviced pretty much when their butts hit the seat. The food is good but I don't care how good if the service is like that. Will have to really consider whether not I want to go back.
Catfish dinner & a single breast with 40 ounces of tasty barley pop! I'm in heaven! Bonus: hot & cold running college girls comprise the ENTIRE staff!
Funky decor and homey feel combine well with decent fried chicken. The menu is pretty typical, but the sausage and cheese starter really stood out for me. The salad my dining companion had looked good. The fries were okay, too.
Mix in blah fried chicken, KFC mashed potatoes and gravy, Glory brand green beans and Captain D’s fries and slaw.. it’s this place.

Food is great, service is prompt and attentive. There's something to be said for sitting down to some chicken, or fried pickles, with a 40 oz beer. The atmosphere of the place is great, and feels like you're really sitting in a shack along the Mississippi Delta. The price can escalate quick in a group setting once you start reading the menu and trying it all, so just be mindful going in; it's worth the price though.
It’s just forgettable. Just blah. It’s a let down. It’s not good southern fried chicken. All the northerners moving down here may be fooled, but I am not.
