Very rude and actually doing some illegal towing practices. Highly do not recommend. They refused to release my car after AAA got it towed there, and cost me double what I should have paid
I had AAA pick up my car and bring me here. I got a small labor discount with my membership. There is no waiting room and the surrounding area is a bit sketchy. So take all valuables from your car and have someone else take you somewhere. Overall, though, the work they did was good.
The guy driving the pickup on McFarland Ave is a waste of air. He didn't use turn signals, was on his cell phone and busy looking in his seat. Twice he stopped short and almost caused a wreck. When I called in the lady that answered the phone was rude and not concerned with my comments. God forbid I ever need tow service but if I do I can damn well promise I won't use A1 Towing. If A1 Towing was the only option to get my truck out of a ditch I would leave my truck in a ditch forever.
Had a flat tire while visiting friends on Signal Mountain on Saturday. Called AAA and they dispatched someone, didn't get his name, who when he called to ask about our situation recommended that we get a tow to make sure we got off the mountain safely. He followed up and got his dispatcher to send Justin to help us out. Justin located the the leak and since it was in the back sidewall, suggested that he tow us home, to Atlanta, or take it somewhere so we could get it repaired the next morning. Against his advice, chose to go to the Wal-mart and try to repair it ourselves. Repair didn't work, and we called AAA back and requested Justin. He got us home safely and very quickly. I was very surprised when looking on google the low rating. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
I had a precarious situation with a higher end sports car, a curb, and soft, low ground. AAA contacted A-1, who dispatched Steve to the scene, and I appreciate their relationship with A-1. I was on hold with AAA longer than it took for him to arrive. With 30+ years of towing and recovery experience, we discussed the risks, I agreed to the plan, and executed the damage waiver. It was a textbook recovery that did not require use of the truck, only equipment A-1 had on hand. Once the recovery actually began, I was back on the road quickly. I hope I never need their services again, but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to ask for Steve. He is professional, polite, and knows his craft. Thank you A-1, for sending Steve, and thank you Steve, for the outstanding application of your professional skills today.
