For my yearly inspection, I looked under the truck. The lower control arm (without it, your wheel would fall off) has two bolts that hold it onto the frame. On one of the bolts, the nut had fallen off and the other was loose. If I would have waited too long before noticing this, I would have had a serious wreck or even death, especially if driving at a high speed on the interstate with a trailer. After having to fix this myself as well, I noticed that the "mechanic" who had replaced the lower control arm switched the front and back bolts (one is longer than the other).
I noticed the brake fluid was slowly leaking out over time. Upon the second top off, I inspected the brakes and found that the fitting for on the caliper was loose, allowing brake fluid to leak.
These guys made getting my car fixed a breeze. My car looked great when I got it back. I was even able to drop my rental car off with them, and I didn't have to drive the rental back to Hertz myself and then get a ride to the body shop. I highly recommend Advanced Collision if you want quality customer service, body repair, and updates about your vehicle during the repair process.
I have air bags over the back axle (for hauling trailers) and the fittings were broken so air would not pump. I fixed these (I am a mechanic, but not a body person btw).
Justin is a bad excuse of a service writer. He denied that Advanced Collision caused damage to my rear fender (in addition to what the vehicle was in for). Funny that he insisted that they dropped the lower panel to work on the fender but there are tape lines (and paint) to prove otherwise.
Side Note:
Had a company truck repaired here after a wreck (2016 GMC 2500). Impact from the wreck was almost entirely on the driver's side front wheel.
Professionals in every way, kind, courteous service! Here's the place to go for all insurance auto repairs. They even will quote you a price for other repairs as well! Wish we'd found them years ago! Just blessed!
I will never trust them again- nor should you.
I was quite shaken, but cordial when I called Advanced Collision to let them know what had happened. I said I would like to let the manager know about my situation. I thought before leaving a review, I would give him a chance to at least give some sort of explanation, etc. They said he would call me back. This was over a week ago and I never received a call.
Justin and the guys at advanced collision really came through with the repairs to my truck. The color match on the paint job was perfect. I had a custom built storage system that they rebuilt was re-assembling the truck and also upgraded me to a bullet liner on it. I had custom vinyl decals on the rear fenders and they had new ones printed and cut for me exactly like the decals thaf were there. That impressed me. Another great feature was the text message update system they have. I received personalized updates via text throughout the entire process. 5 stars because that is the most they will let me give. Great job guys.
And, I had a fisheye in the paint that was EXTREMELY noticeable when I went to pick up my car- how aggravating that was to point that out to the "pros".
When getting the truck back from repair, I noticed they had frame work marked, but the frame was not bent. They said that since a frame guy did some work on the truck, even though he had not done any actual frame work, then they needed to mark the invoice as frame work. Obvious problem with this is that now my CarFax, etc. will have frame work repair marked on it.
