Bought wheels and tires from another place to have Firestone install them because I've always used them and they have always been decent. This time not so much.
The rep. wrote down in big letters to use a wheel and tire to test and make sure they fit the truck . When I got the wheels back (uninstalled by the way) all 4 had the tires mounted on them. They told me the wheels needed hub centering rings to fit properly. Isn't that part of the testing one wheel first??
So I was far enough from home to relent and have them keep going and they called me yet again to ask white letters in or out? Another thing that I had already discussed with them at drop-off. The job Took way longer then said and wheels still never made it on my truck. And after all this I was STILL charged full price for the job...with my old wheels still on my truck and my new ones crammed in my back seat and bed!!! They did say after I found the hub rings to come back and they will put them on. After all this though I think I'll just finish the job myself. Will be calling their corporate office.
I have been taking my car there for about five years. Always thought they were honest about what my car needed. Last time I took it there, it was running hot, they told I had blown head gasket. Took it another shop, turns out I had a busted radiator. Will probably not go back again. The staff are very friendly. Wait time is very long.
Needless to say, I was unsatisfied a simple task wasn't done and will be going somewhere else
Bottom line: if you want excellent customer service go there and ask only for Trish. If you want your tires and wheels installed competently, timely, and honestly go elsewhere!!
Been going to Firestone for a few years. Kyle is the best manager to work with. I had brake calipers, master cylinder and speed sensors replaced. Got a bad sensor from the manufacturer which caused a variety of lights to come on. Kyle took care of me, called me twice to give me an update. Had engine work done at Firestone in Mississippi, then Chattanooga Firestone fixed what the other Firestone messed up. The wait can be on the long side, but would gladly take my car back to Chattanooga Firestone...but I strictly deal with Kyle.
I tell them I only need an alignment and a rotation done, and leave it with them at 11, telling them I'll be back for it around 4 (approximate because of lunch break) because I work across the street.
I get back at 3:30/45 to pick up my car, and it hasn't been touched. No one has even touched it to bring it into a bay. When I let them know that I'm picking up my car, they start making excuses as to why it didn't get done in the 5 hour time span that it sat in the parking lot. They ask me to give them until 4:15, but I couldn't let them do that because I had errands I planned on running on my lunch break because I assumed my car would be done.
After calling corporate I received a call from Trish ( who actually took my truck in that day but had to leave promptly afterwards) the store manager and she offered to completely resolve the situation. Looking back now I probably should have asked for more resolution but she remedied all I asked for. She was actually great, understanding, and the only positive in this experience.
I am from out of town, called Max at Firestone in Hixson and I will say the service and customer appreciation is 5 star. Max did a great job on my repairs In a very timely manner, gave me a courtesy call when repair was finished and made sure I was totally pleased with my service. Max great job and if all services here are the same as mine this place has to be the best in Chattanooga....would recommend to anyone also price matched the competition.
I contacted where I purchased my wheels (BB Wheels, which were great by the way) and asked about the hub centering rings and was informed they weren't even needed on my vehicle. Sure enough when I put my wheels on they matched up to my hubs snug and perfectly! Evidently the installer grabbed a hub ring and stuck it to my hub and called it bad without actually grabbing the wheel itself and trying it. So the stains on my back seat caused by the tire I had to cram in were unnecessary .
Anyway That was just one of the many failures from this place. Earlier they called to tell me a wheel is damaged and to come back and make a decision. There were two small scuffs on the wheel and I would have believed their story that it must have been damaged during shipment until he told me the damaged one came from the wheel that had the box already opened. So I told the rep that I am the one that opened the box to take a pic of the wheel right before I came to them and even showed him the pic of my UNDAMAGED wheel laying on my bed. His exact response was "Hmm. I don't have a good answer for that."
