Poor communication. Discovered that working oem parts were swapped for aftermarket ones that weren't related to my repair on my car. On my wife's car they put a broken gas cap from another car on which was not related to the repair. Then asked for over $150 to replace a $20 gas cap. I just picked up my car and RAN! Swapping parts to create business in my opinion. Didn't fight it, just found a better mechanic, cut my losses, and got on with life. BEWARE!
I will return to Higgins. The service is awesome! The staff and owner are wonderful, in fact I can't say enough about the staff and owner. They were helpful, friendly, caring and so understanding.
Good prices and they won't try to rip you off. They are honest and good people. I don't buy tires anywhere else, even though I've moved across town now--I still take all my vehicles there for tires and have for several years now. One time my truck was having random problems starting but wouldn't put out an OBD code. They kept it for several days trying to figure out what was wrong but it worked perfectly while they had it. They didn't charge me a penny! They offered to try replacing parts that seemed likely to be causing the problem but said they couldn't guarantee it would fix it. I opted to wait at that time, but I was very impressed with their honesty and surprised they didn't charge me diagnostic fees like any other mechanic would.
