I went for an event supporting independent local musicians which is awesome. The space was lovely and comfortable, with everything clearly labeled and easy to see without any harsh light. The back is great with a deck, a yard, a covered table,and several hammocks. Everyone I encountered there was super friendly. The band said the rooms and service we're great. I'm happy I went, they're wonderful
Lizzy and Cody have created a very welcoming environment for the solo traveler. I felt right at home the second I walked in the door. There is a sense of community with both the current guests and stories of the prior visitors - the energy is really neat here.
As far as amenities, I stayed in the dorms. I felt I had all of the privacy I needed and plenty of storage. There were two very clean full bathrooms, and the kitchen/dining room was a treat - very spacious and well - equipped. I would not hesitate to stay here again!
En Root House in Chattanooga is awesome. The house is beautiful, spotless clean, beds and rooms are the most comfortable I've ever stayed in in a hostel (and I've stayed in a few over the years!). There is also a very nice, very large communal kitchen and living area which is superbly kitted out. By far the best bit are the staff though. Lizzie and Cody are just lovely - I was on my own and they showed be the best of Chattanooga, the place and the people. Couldn't recommend highly enough!
I stayed at En Root for two nights during my trip in the southern US, and I must say it was one of the best experience of my journey. The house is extremely comfortable, filled with peculiar literature, and the hosts are genuinely helpful and friendly. I recommend it to anyone who wants to resource and experiment Chattanooga on a more local, personal level.
The owners were super nice and welcoming even though I arrived passed midnight. They had delicious coffee waiting for me in the morning!
