It's been years since I've visited, but if the owner is taking orders, he might suggest a sandwich/meal. My advice, do what he says, you won't be let down.
Prices are reasonable.
The sandwiches are delicious!! It can be a bit over priced once you add a side and a drink, but a sandwich by itself is super yummy. The owner has quite the personality! He's been known to be insensitive to those with food allergies, but they offer a variety of sandwiches.
Great location.
Unique in Chattanooga, it has a resemblance to a New York deli but completely infused with the personality of the owner who is a force of nature. Expect him to give a good-natured hard sell of his specials of the day, always fresh-made in the store. If he puts fig jam on a savory deli sandwich, trust me, you'll love it.

This place is awesome! The owner is a legit New Yorker, from the Bronx, and he makes some incredible sandwiches! He's quite a character, who doesn't let you change things on his sandwiches, but he has put so much love into them, they don't need to be changed, and he will help you find the best sandwich for you and what you are wanting to eat at the time. They have some of the best sandwich meat I have ever had.
Probably what I would consider a Chattanooga staple.
Great food. NY style Deli. Bruce will take care of you. If you don't know what to order he will know what to order for you! And it will be great!
