We had the Blue Crab cakes, barbecue shrimp, calamari, lobster bisque, and seafood gumbo. All of the dishes are top notch, but my favorite is the barbecue shrimp. My mom loved the calamari too. This is my 1st visit to Ruth Chris. Great job to them.
What we learned:
3. It's a little bit pricey but with customer, service, great food and atmosphere it really is worth it. I went in expecting to spend a couple hundred bucks and was pleasantly surprised when I didn't.
The food is service was excellent. Walt was a great waiter. My 12 oz filet was cooked perfectly. The food was well worth the money.
Next came the entrees. My best friend, being a vegetarian had vegetarian plate consisting of Lyonasse Fingerling potatoes, crimini mushrooms and asparagus. I had a bite of each, the potatoes were well seasoned and delicate, the mushrooms weren't overpowering and had a wonderful taste and the asparagus was nearly tender enough to cut with a fork.
Our server was a gentleman by the name of David. He was superseded any expectation or experience I've ever had with a server. He was attentive, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, hilarious and made us feel like the only table he had! Amazing service and incredible food! Wow! A bit on the pricy side, but definitely worth it for an anniversary! By the way, EVERY encounter with a staff member was polite and very caring and personable! Absolutely wonderful experience!
The whole experience was completely worth the price and my initial fears we're oblierated with the combination of fantastic customer service and unparalleled taste of the food. Our night out at Ruth's Chris will be hard to beat. Thank you for a great night.
Once we placed our order, the salads came first, two Ruth's Chris chopped salads and one Mozzarella and heirloom tomato salad. All fresh ingredients and the chopped salad comes vacuformed in a cylindrical shape that makes it look less than it really is. Once it is smashed down you realize it is a lot of salad and had one of their own vinegrette dressings over it. The taste was a mixture or fresh greens and tomatos that when mixed with the dressing was beautiful.
2. The Entrees do not come with sides, sides are extra unless it specifies. If it doesn't say it's served with a side, assume it doesn't.
Our waiter, Garrett I think was his name, was very cool and attentive. He brought us water and took our drink order and brought bread and butter while we looked over the menu.
We were invited to Ruth’s Chris by a friend and we weren’t really sure about the atmosphere before we came to eat, because we were just ole country folk. Not ole city slickers. Haha. We weren’t surprised whatsoever about the atmosphere. The atmosphere was really calm and collected. The food was great and the waiters were very friendly and knew what exactly they were doing. Would come back again!
Last night was my first experience dining at Ruth's Chris and after seeing the prices listed I was a little bit apprehensive. We decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. When we entered we we're greeted with a warm hello. We were asked if we had reservations, and we did not because looking online it said it wasn't necessary. We were told that the main dining was by reservation only that night but the bar area seating was always open as long as a table was available. We actually found one table and it was great. Lesson learned if you want a table for sure it's probably better to reserve because you may not get as lucky as we we're.
I had the 16 oz. New York Strip medium rare cooked to perfection. The seasoning was awesome and made the taste pop. It was so juicy and tender, I've never had a better steak. My sides, asparagus and a baked potato fully loaded. The potato wasn't dry like you get in so many other places. It was done without being over done and I didn't have to have butter to eat it. The butter and toppings we're just that, toppings that brought out the potato but weren't needed to make it edible.
