A good place to come for brunch if you're in the heart of downtown. The service and food is good and you won't leave unsatisfied. Try their biscuits while you're in. Pro tip, the left side is open seating so don't wait in long lines if you don't have to.
I got the grilled cheese sandwich that has shredded pork and Mac and cheese in there too. Sounded like it a place named Blue Plate should make something special and it fell flat. Bland is the best description for the whole affair. No real flavors to distinguish the ingredients. Like the house-made potato chips (that were overly done) seasoning would have at least started it down the right path. Trying to add salt to chips after they're served is futile; they should be salted when warm, out of the fryer. Had been there before and wanted to check it out. Likely the last visit. Oh, and they were out of root beer. A diner style place shouldn't ever run out of root beer.
Came in on day off for delicious brunch and that’s exactly what I got and more! Had a great server name Matt. Didn’t have to wait long for anything. Mimosas were perfect and the chicken and waffles is where it’s at! Also if your from Louisiana they had the Tabasco Sauce! Definitely coming back.
We really enjoyed our brunch at the Blue Plate! We coincidentally ended up hitting happy hour so we got carafes of mimosas for $15! The chicken and pancake was delicious! Food was reasonably priced. Our waiter was friendly and attentive! We will come back the next time we are in Chattanooga!
Been coming here for brunch for a while now for family and friend brunches. Great service. Great food. A bit of a wait on weekends, but can't keep a great place like this a secret, right?
