On multiple occasions, the doctor has prescribed medicine that I have a known allergy to, without discussing it first. The office staff all seem pretty miserable. And if you try to accomplish anything meaningful through leaving a message for the nurse (like replacing the prescription you are allergic to), you are just wasting your time. The majority of the time they just never call back.
My hope was to find the best urology group in Chattanooga. My fear is that this is it. Perhaps the doctors are good and CHI has just squeezed the life out of the staff. But as a patient, if you view yourself as the customer, you'll probably be disappointed at the level of service.
This practice came highly recommended by my general practitioner and many online reviews. However my experience has been substandard. My first couple of visits were shortly after they were acquired by CHI Memorial, so I wrote them off to "growing pains". But a year later, not much has changed.
Went their with Kidney stone and don't do anything about it sent me home and going to do a cat scan to see if I passed it I know that answer still got pain and his office never call you back a week later he called me back on Monday about 5:30 pm. Talk about the test this is weekend#2 that this group has left me hanging in pain go to someone else
This doctor was recommended by 3 people so when I had finally found out the all the pain I had been in for 6 weeks was kidney stones I went to this office and this doctor . Big mistake! First I was told by the doctor that he was going to go in and if able to remove the stone would only leave the stint in me for a couple of days but those couple of days turned into 9 days because the doctor went on vacation and no one else in the office would remove the stint. It was told to me the after the 2nd day of the stint being put in I could do my normal activities well maybe some people do but that was not my case. The stint was worse than the stone. Dealing with the office staff was just as bad. Did not get call backs had to complain for 3 days to get medicine changed because it was to strong and asked 4 different times to get paper work sent to my job to keep from losing it. Would not recommend this office to anyone.Period.
So irritating, it's 4:39 and I call and they have already rolled their calls over to the answering service.... must not care about their patients enough to handle calls till 5!!!! Only worrying about going home!
I had a very similar experience to another reviewer's post. Dr. Mullins is great, good beside manners, saw me post-op in the hospital and made sure I was comfortable with all procedures. The office staff on the hand needs better communication skills. They don't turn in your disability paperwork and you have to continually hound them to fill it out. I had to come in for a post op ultrasound and on a Friday and the girl at the window told me I don't have an appointment for you. I had to explain the ultrasound tech's schedule to the receptionist for her to understand that I wasn't there for a regular appointment. Poor communication overall.
