Went to him because he was recommended to me but he was useless. I was having frequent swelling in the back of my throat and he barely even listened to my theories about what could be wrong, and did not bother to suggest other causes of the issue, but jumped right to "You need your tonsils out." Turns out the problem has been resolved by other means and I did NOT need surgery. I'm glad I did not listen to him and I wish I could get back the money my insurance paid him. He did not take me seriously at all.
Allegedly, according to other Doctors in the Chattanooga area, Dr. Chris St. Charles is "...the best ENT Physician in town."
Dr St Charles is my daughter's ENT and is great. I would recommend him to anyone. We have had to wait a long time in the waiting room, but if you can handle that, everything else is great. He is a great doc! I completely trust him with my child's life.
Dr. St. Charles is a very patient man who listens to everything you have to say regarding the condition for which you are seeing him. He does an excellent job explaining and teaching his patients of the procedures or possible procedures that may need to be performed to correct the problem.
Horrible bedside manner with a very strong sense of arrogance. Not at all happy with his lack of professionalism and demeanor. You are much better off going to Dr. Hunt (in the same ENT group) because he actually cares for his patients and isn't in it solely for the money. Don't waste your time with St.Charles. I would honestly pick any ENT MD in the state of TN over him.
In total, I waited about 1 hour in various waiting rooms and about 15 minutes in my private room. This was at 9am on a Friday morning. Being that it was on a Friday, I am assuming the office is generally busier on Fridays which would explain the unfortunate, somewhat lengthy wait time.
Why do you have to wait 3 months for an appointment just because you are an "established" customer (not a patient).... and can't change doctors because you are an "established" customer
In my opinion however, Dr. St. Charles is worth the wait. You will not be disappointed.
