Dr.Turner is one of the better physicians in the country. The main reason is she listens first, cares about what illnesses are doing to you inside and out, plus she is honest and tells you exactly what she thinks.
Dr. Turner is an excellent doctor. She is always kind, respectful, and knows how to help me with my medical issues. Her staff has always been extra helpful and considerate, as well. In 2011, a the age of 38, my mixed connective tissue disorder (arthritis/lupus factor) made its debut. I was barely able move. Using my arms, legs, and hands was difficult, and I quickly ended up in a wheelchair with excruciating pain. I was referred to Dr. Turner. Her staff put me on a waiting list, but got me in very soon. She was able to give the appropriate medicines, and I was able to get relief and put the issues into remission. 6 years later, I am able to move and carry on life, as normal. Any time I have have a question or issue, Dr. Turner's staff members always have an answer and a remedy. In 2015, I had a vaginal ablation, due to an anemic issue (treated by a fellow gynecologist) Dr. Turner communicated with my other doctors and personally came to my Erlanger Hospital room to check on me and consult, in regards to my needed medications. I would recommend Dr. Turner to anyone who is able to see her. She is a fabulous doctor and a great big blessing to me and my family. Through God's help and her knowledge, I am able to live life to the fullest, being a wife, mom, daughter, friend, teacher, church member and Praise Team Co-Leader. I am thankful for Dr. Turner.
With her you know where you stand even if , like a lot of us we don't low very much about the illnesses attacking our immune system.
Dr. Turner is a wonderful Rheumatologist. I have been seeing her for my Rheumatoid Arthritis for about three years now. She has worked with me as my insurance has changed several times, prescribing the best treatment while being cognizant of my financial limitations. She is a joy to talk to and she listens to me as a patient and as a whole person. She has always been diligent in communicating with my primary care doctor.
Saw her for years for lupus. I heard she was the best in Chattanooga. I was rarely examined. She spent most of the time on the computer and only wanted to refill prescriptions that were not working or refer me to other Dr.s. She missed cancer!!!! I see the Rheumatology group at Vanderbilt now, my cancer was caught on their first physical exam, my lupus is now in control.
I gladly travel 2+ hrs one way 8 times a year to see Dr. Turner. She not only slowed my quick progressing RA when no local doctors could, but she did do in a caring and compassionate way. She is top notch and I don't plan on changing doctors despite the extra time and money it takes to be her patient. I consider myself to be very lucky. After 15 Yeats I was about to give up!
I have standards when it comes to whom I let treat me and she passed my requirements and then some.
