Dr. Lambiase had been treating my son for an inflamed colon for several months. During this time, my son found no relief from the pain and discomfort. For the last several weeks he lost a significant amount of weight. Dr. Lambiase performed a colonoscopy and a cat scan. Said the findings were inconclusive. Last week I went with my son to the see the doctor to see what else could be done. He had a bad attitude towards me when I asked if there was anything else that could be done to find out what was wrong. Lab work was ordered with "expedite" wrote across the top of the RX. A week later still had not heard anything regarding the results. Every time a call was placed to the office and the nurse for Dr. Lambiase, it was always excuses as why no return calls. Or that there was a temp working the desk and no message was taken. On Monday my wife took my son to our primary care doctor. He had a temperature of 103 degrees and a heart rate of 150 beats per minute. He was placed in Memorial Hospital for testing. During this time both the physician treating my son and my son called Dr. Lambiase to have all the test results sent over. No one would return any calls. My son turned out that his system had turned septic and if he would not of been hospitalized when he was, then he would not of lived another day. His system was shutting down. Think twice before seeking treatment from Dr. Lambiase due to his lack of level of care. The attitude towards family members that are just seeking answers to why their child isn't getting better.
Dr Lambiase and his team are wonderful! My husband was admitted to Erlanger with confusing & overwhelming amount of issues going on and Dr Lambiase was the first doctor we saw. He then kept track of us through our entire 3.5 week stay in the hospital. We wish Dr Lambiase was our GI doctor years ago as the event that led up to the hospital stay may never have happened. He is to the point, direct but with compassion and humor. I would recommend the Doc and his team to anyone. I can truly say they gave my husband a longer lease on life and for that I am eternally grateful.
